Europe
Saw thm supporting Deep Purple, before this i would have agreed 100% but they were a decent band and i enjoyed their set. Judas priest however I walked out on. The Scorpions were supporting and they were amazing but for some reason Judas Priest just looked like old men trying to be woke before woke was a thing.

Re: Crap Bands And Performers , The Official List
Andy Taylor was a descent rock guitarist
and some of john Taylor's bass lines were quite groovy and complex: They didn't choose the best vessel to show their talents i' ll agree on that.

For me europe were everything that was wrong about eighties hair metal

But that ended about 1985

Micheal Schenker Group were ok but rubbish live
I preferred him as guitarist in UFO , the album obsession is a masterpiece of hard rock

Re: Crap Bands And Performers , The Official List
Dr Feelgood and Groundhogs (every track sounding the same)
Chuck Berry (35 mins with a band he had never really practised with, a common practice with him)

I loved Saxon, early def lep was great , never liked iron maiden
UFO did some surprisingly solid later albums , making contact was good
The track when it's time to rock we are the only ones , is a belter
Freeway mad by Saxon off wheels of steel has one of the best drum intros in heavy rock ever , followed by a killer riff

I've had a think. The Jam had a couple of decent songs, after that was Style Council and then Weller decided to unleash his indulgent solo shit that wasn't good enough for lift music. He's a f ucking div. I'm not changing my mind over UB40 and Crappy Ska. Red Hot Chilli Peppers can F uckoff as well.

Re: Crap Bands And Performers , The Official List

Can't do Reggae. There is nothing more unattractive than seeing middle aged white people dancing to reggae in a way only middle aged white people can.

Re: Crap Bands And Performers , The Official List
Tina Turner is screecher but she’s outdone on that score by the dreadful Whitney Houston, jeez, she can murder a song!

Re: Crap Bands And Performers , The Official List
There are some great musicians and talented song writers in quite a few of those bands.
You don't like "Just An Illusion"? "Church Of The Poison Mind"? "Girls On Film"? Even that Gary Barlow fella is talented.
You sir, are a snob. And you're wrong.
If you're looing for a crap band, look no further than Saxon. Barely a handful of decent songs. None of which really stand the test of time.

I am a musical maestro , it's as simple as that
Imagination , dreadful , only good thing is the bass line
Church of the poison mind , screechy crap with that rotter helen reddy
Girls on film, rubbish
Take that ? Back for good , and that's it
Saxon , if you are into heavy rock , were very influential to a lot of american metal bands like Metallica, anthrax , megadeth
Strangers in the night , wheels of steel , freeway mad all very influential stuff , as was a lot of motorhead
-
Re: Crap Bands And Performers , The Official List
Haysey fantasey
What the christ was all that about ?
I understand jeremy Healey went on to become a top DJ but he was in a world of nonsense in that outfit

Saxon are a second-rate metal band. There are a couple of decent riffs in there, but their music sounds thin. All the bands you mentioned are primarily influenced by Motorhead.

Well if we are to be pedantic they are all actually influenced by sabbath , and to a lesser extent the new wave of british metal bands like saxon , motorhead and maiden who I thought were crap
