Movie/TV Recommendations 2020
The Morning Show - 10 part series on Apple+. Steve Carell, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston. Theme is sexual abuse in the workplace. It’s powerful stuff. If you can get access to it somehow I’d highly recommend.

Anyone else on here see Elizabeth’s missing with Glenda Jackson?
Powerful stuff about dementia.

Sick of it 2 - Karl pilkington Sky player available to download all episodes.
Also watched a great film tonight called Parasite.
It's a South Korean movie but don't let that put you off.

When I watched it it only started to make any sense after episode 4. Or maybe it was me being dense

Re: Movie/TV Recommendations 2020
Also been watching a Chinese series called the story of ming lan, to keep my girlfriend happy.
It's like a Chinese Downton abbey where people periodically get beaten to death with sticks. It's quite good if that's your cup of tea.

Ive seen some of it, this is slightly similar in that it's about the power dynamics in aristocratic households, but it's set much earlier, where people would have concubines and beat their servants to death with sticks

Watched The Lighthouse earlier, nice cinematography and great acting however the plot went missing. Not a fan

Re: Movie/TV Recommendations 2020
Just watched the Korean film Parasite.Wow, no idea how to describe it. Bit slow in places but stick with it. Bizarre and very entertaining provided you can watch a subtitled film. Its not for everyone but get passed that and its a belter

The Gentlemen was a good watch.
Watched a couple from last year over the chrismtas period that I'd intended to go see in the cinema and never got round to it.
Vice, Mary Queen of Scots and I, Tonya. All very enjoyable.

It is amazing. I saw the trailers a few weeks ago but wasn't sure what to expect. Saw it last week and have been recommending it ever since.
It has the absurdist comedy of The Producers but with a harder and darker edge. Those child actors are frighteningly good (JoJo and Yorki) but the best performance of the lot was Stephen Merchant as the Gestapo agent.
I read somewhere that in some audiences people have been walking out in outrage. They must have bought a ticket with the intention of having a flounce. No-one could miss the fact that this is a very black comedy.
