I might be blown out of the water by someone with stats here but it seems to me that Championship keepers tend to make the step up to Premier League level a bit easier than outfield players. You often get keepers who thrive and look like they were born to be there
Yeah I think that's right, it's such a specialist position, probably the majority of goalkeepers in the championship wouldn't look out if place in the premier League, whereas for other positions you couldn't say the same.Quote:

Other than his shot stopping which has been as good as it was last season, his kicking has also improved in the last 6 weeks massively. I worried at the start of the season that his skewed kicking might cause us problems, but he seems to have got a grip over that, which is a credit to him, clearly training hard. For me, he's our player of the season so far.
I think he's the best British born goalkeeper in the PL, certainly better than Pickford.
