Huddersfield have sold 1,900 apparently, which is very good indeed.

Free travel for first 1500 I think
I don't think our away support is anything like it used to be numbers wise
I couldn't see us taking 2000 up there personally
Which is a shame
Those that go are fantastic supporters

I think if we had free coach travel and cheap tickets I think we would probably sell 2,000.
I went up last year on a Tuesday night and we took over 1,000.
Re: 25000 sold for Sunday
Great crowd that is. Really good initiative by the club and no bad thing to build some goodwill when you are trying to flog season tickets!

Maybe but I just think in general we are not talking the numbers we used to take
I went to Huddersfield on a Tuesday night when lennie Lawrence was in charge
We went two up with goals from Thorney and Leo but they pulled it back
2500 at least , midweek
Birmingham recently less than 1000 , we have always taken double that Saturday or midweek

The 2,500 was great support but it was a new ground for most , plus the Rams were taking loads , great times with them at away games.

I was at Huddersfield a few weeks before that for the game that was called off when we were all outside. That was a night game also.
Re: 25000 sold for Sunday
I see Sunderland have sold 45,000 today v Watfraud (1,000 away)
Coventry have sold over 30,000 v Birmingham (4,500 away)
Championship football is very well supported

Our away support is bigger than some home crowds we got “back in the day”
In the last 10 years our away support has come on leaps and bounds. In 2015 or so we took about 200 to Derby for a midweek game. We took over 2000 to Coventry this year for a midweek game.
If I recall that Derby game was Valentines. This year on the same date we took close to 1000 to Birmingham.
If you want a comparison to Huddersfield, we’ve recently had a crucial relegation match on a bank holiday weekend against Blackpool. 1900 fans travelled up for that without free coaches.
If roles were reversed I’m sure we’d match or beat what they bring to us tomorrow.

If the young kid misbehaves, threaten him with a trip to watch the City at the Lego Stadium. Believe me, he’ll behave himself !!!!’!!!!

Our away support before we got into the championship was amazing
It was very good when we got here too
It's not been on that level since
I went to wolves when we beat them u der warnock on the way to going up
We were given 2500 tickets but we only took 1500
Less than 1000 to Birmingham this season was our lowest for years

Swansea City took more fans than us to Blackpool this season
That sort of thing used to be un heard of

And we took more to Middlesbrough for a midweek game than Swansea took on a Saturday.
Swansea aren't our little insignificant neighbours anymore. They've won a major trophy, played in Europe and spent nearly a decade in the Premier League.
Their crowds increasing to be closer to ours doesn't mean our crowds our bad.

Our support away from home certainly isn't building
If you seek you shall find

Except it has for the most part over the last decade or so.
There’s a big crowd of youngsters, teens and people in their 20’s that make up a not insignificant chunk of our away support.

We are not taking away the large support we did
Look in the history books
Warnock woke this club up again but even so we didn't sell out nearby away trips to places like wolves and Birmingham like we did
More youngsters following city away is great but our away support is down

What’s your evidence to back that up?? I’ve averaged 5/6 away games a year for 25 years, and there is a significant number of youngsters travelling every other week, on top of the old heads. I’d say our away crowds are looking pretty strong to be honest.

This preoccupation that some people have with dissing our support and doing the club down at every opportunity is embarrassing. Our home and away support is excellent. And on the rise. Since you embarrassed yourself by predicting we were going down, you have now switched your attention to attendances. You will be on to something else as soon as that idea goes down the pan.
