What sort if reception will Coleman get? Probably a good one to start. Normal service after that.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
Richards in midfield surely ? Quite like the idea of Paterson in the middle.

I wasn't impressed last time. Maybe with more work on the training pitch this week he will be more comfortable.
Patterson is clearly a good player - but when he's pushed up wide right as a NML replacement or into central midfield he doesn't look right. He is also a bit worrying as a RB in a back 4 - defensively rusty. Ideally he would play as a RWB (competing with Jazz for the shirt).
It's a bit like Bruno - Neil Warnock obviously wants to get him into the team, but sometimes (Bruno at RB against pace) it is square pegs in round holes.

Yeah I agree with all that. He’s not a perfect fit. I like his ability to get forward , he’s committed , good in the air (which I like in midfield)
I’ve got. I idea what his best position is to be honest. Maybe on the right of a midfield 3 ? With Mendez -Laing in front of him

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
Looks like Paterson is doing a man marking job on that ndong to me.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
Patterson playing attacking midfielder is an absolute joke of a selection

Looks like a fish out of water.
Doesn’t know where to run and technically he’s poor.
6 defenders at home to Sunderland ffs. Absolute joke.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
I think we're looking much better. However, Sunderland are awful. So maybe it's just an easier game than of late.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
Sunderland are shit. They are there for the taking. Get some attacking players on Colin ffs.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
Seriously thinking of leaving at half time and going back to a warm pub.
This is crap

He’s winning a lot of headers which seems to be an important part of our game these days.
We are dominating them physically. Need a goal though. I’ve seen signs of us actually moving and looking to receive the ball when in possession too.
Mendez Laing be off on 70 mins he’s blowing now.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
I'd like to see what Tomlin could do here.

I think we look better than the previous few games but lacking cutting edge. Still a bit nervous.
Sunderland are shocking though.

Winning headers playing in a position where we need him to create something. Brilliant tactics.

Any surprise we are lacking a cutting edge with 6 defenders in the team?
This game is crying out for Tomlin and / or the new fella.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
NML is hopeless. One trick pony.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
I nearly dozed off a few times in the first half.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SUNDERLAND AFC. Match thread
Luckily Sunderland are piss poor as the space in midfield is ridiculous

We'll be much better as soon as Morrison comes back.
