A team cannot play football without the ball
We gifted possession in the second half.
When they didn’t have it we gave it back to them.
Poor tactics.
A poor substitution. Why not Grujic.

Until the 93rd minute, the most passes made by Cardiff without Derby touching the ball was 4. And that was for the goal. Mostly it was two passes before Derby got the ball back.
Against Forest, the team strung five passes together on one occasion.
Will be interesting to see if Warnock persists with these tactics in the Premier League.

Team selection needs to be better.
Grujic, Ken, NML and Pelts back please.

We've reverted to proper hoofball recently with Grujic out of the team, is Warnock feeling the pressure?

IMO it does matter who is in the team at the moment. They are obviously under orders to hoof the ball upfield at the 1st chance. When we were playing well at the start of the season we got the ball forward quickly. But it wasn't aimless and we mixed it up a bit. Many of our long balls are hit and hope. They must be because they are lobbed forward when players aren't facing forward. But Grujic is needed as long as Warnock does lets him play his game.

Thanks for being kind enough to call them tactics! :hehe:
Re: A team cannot play football without the ball
That's the third time I've seen us play in filthy rain this season and every time we've been absolutely diabolical.... Preston away 3/4's of Sheffield Utd away and now second half at Derby. Clearly struggle with any passing on wet pitches whereas the opposition who tend to play more football anyway improve under the conditions

You'd think it would be the other way round.

Which website do you use to get these stats?

Tactics? What tactics?
If there were any tactics the players certainly didn’t know about them or if they did didn’t know how to play to them. A complete and utter shambles all round.

Can’t pass in any conditions, so the weather doesn’t have any effect.
