I f my memory serves me well
When lawrie McMenemy was manager of Southampton
We were 2 up at home when the 2 of the floodlights went off.
1 in each corner.
McMenemy wanted the game called off. They came back to 2-2 then Osgood missed a sitter at the Canton end
possibly because of the poor light

Don't recall that one; the one I recall was the win in 1978 which was played at 5 or 6pm as there was a floodlight embargo so the game had to end before it got dark. Recall Alan Ball playing for them.
We had a great home league record against them until the PL fixture when Mackay got sacked whereas we had a shocking away record until perversely we won down there later that season!
