Re: My memory playing tricks
I can't remember it either but he did. The only reason I know that is because I read the exact same thing a few weeks ago. A loan it was apparently.

Kasper Shmeichael was one, but for the life of me I can’t remember him playing for us in 07/08?
I certainly remember him playing for us. not sure how many home games, but think there was one against Ipswich at least.
Re: My memory playing tricks
Who did we get him on loan from?

Leicester.
He was warming the bench so he came here on loan, a successful one too.
We wanted to keep him on but he preferred to go back on the bench and fight for his place.
Bet he regrets that decision!
Re: My memory playing tricks
It was during the period where we seemed to play four different keepers a season.
Re: My memory playing tricks
I remember it.
And if I recall correctly, it was when Paul Parry gave up internationals for "personal reasons"
Allegedly, "someone at the club" was shagging his mrs while he was away.
Re: My memory playing tricks
I remember it. The new stadium was being built at the time.
Re: My memory playing tricks
Re: My memory playing tricks
My memory of him is that he could kick the ball further than I'd seen any Cardiff keeper do before.

WE got him on loan from Man City, not Leicester.
Re: My memory playing tricks
We got him on loan from Man City and he played about 9 games but then went to Coventry on loan instead of staying with us.
Might have been the season we had Ross Turnbull who was complete shite.

Well I was close :hehe:
I refer to a post I made earlier regarding the age of the majority of posters.
I'm glad there are a few youngsters amongst us to keep us in check regarding actual facts!
:old:
Re: My memory playing tricks
Yep I remember it well.
Probably the Mandela effect.
Re: My memory playing tricks
He's named after a ghost,
and stands between the posts,
Oh Kasper whooaa....
Was the song at Charlton away that season.
Think we were 3-0 down by half time though.

That's what I thought at the time, but he went on to win a Champions League medal
Re: My memory playing tricks
I remember it. We finished the season with Enckelemen in goal. We all know how that ended.

I was smiling to myself when I was reading the bit about the little ditty they had sung for him, I thought it was quite witty... then I got to the bit where you said we were 3-0 down at half-time, I don't know why but I had tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks..:hehe:
