Not offended, but I'd been beginning to think that Hammond just might represent the reasonable side of the modern Conservative party, but some of his recent comments show him to be as bad as the rest of them - leaving aside the obvious exception and the ridiculous Ledsome, it seems to me that Tory woman MPs tend to be more impressive than the male ones.

I won't be signing any petition, it's a pointless excercise.
The irony of your post is that you seem far more outraged at the thought of anyone rightly commenting on a stupid statement by one of our elected representatives who as Chancellor has a massive impact on all our lives. So far the only outrage I've seen is from yourself looking to make a daft point.
