Hoilett and Gunnarsson offered new deals, Halford released

Aron Gunnarsson and Junior Hoilett have both been offered new Cardiff City contracts with a decision expected on their futures by the end of the week — although Greg Halford has been released by the club.

Neil Warnock has given the duo days to decide whether they want to feature for the Bluebirds in the Premier League.

Uncertainty had surrounded the pair for a number of weeks with Gunnarsson in particular linked with a move away from South Wales.

Although they do say Warnock might offer something to Halford as back up.

Shame to see Halford go. Has some great squad experience

Can't let sentiment get in the way, Halford would get slaughtered at Premier level. He could do the same for another Championship side as he did for us ... squad player.

Did exactly what he was asked to do.
Linked up well, particularly on the right in front of Pelts or Manga.
He came on when the the game needed to be shut down, his passing was accurate (see stats) and was non fussy in his work, good at keeping the ball.

No, we are not talking :tbg: here. By the way, I did a charity bike ride last Sunday and received a hell of a whack on my back which drew blood, tore my top and caused two nasty weals (not wheels) on my torso. A dipstick of a farmer overtook me on a country lane and had some machinery (possibly the handles of a heavy duty lawn mower or similar) protruding way beyond the side of his truck which caught me. He didn't even realise until I caught him up and gave him a mouthful, whereupon he said in the broadest of Somerset accents: "What do I owe 'e?" and thrust £30 quid's worth of grubby bank notes in my hand.
