Which got me thinking - I've read before that Brentford use data analytics a lot (more to make money from player sales than to win anything). Anyone know how much City use this technology?

No idea, most clubs are pretty secretive about the work they do in this area.
There is also plenty of different ways you can use analysis.
Eg.
Recruitment
Tactics
Set pieces

I went to a talk by Ian Graham in the summer of 2015. He had been at Liverpool for a few years by then, but I got the impression that some people were still sceptical of his ideas.
