Bluebirds with an Italian Connection
Ramsey was at Juve, Jay Bothroyd was at Perugia? Ferratti was shit, but played in Italy, John Charles, Gerry Hitchens. Anymore out there? However loose the connection is.

Re: Bluebirds with an Italian Connection
Didn't play for us but Giorgio Chinaglia was brought up in Cardiff and went to Lady Mary's I believe. Played with Pele and Beckenbauer at New York Cosmos and played and scored lots of goals for Lazio as well as being capped by Italy. Sadly he played a few games for the Jacks not us.

Re: Bluebirds with an Italian Connection
There was that Ferreti who Sir Alex Ferguson was supposed to have recommended to us who played a few games about fifteen years ago.

Sorry Yoko, I meant Ojo, although you’d most probably be an improvement on him.

No, we didn’t- we’d have played AC Milan in the Final if we’d beaten Hamburg wouldn’t we?

Re: Bluebirds with an Italian Connection
Tony Vendito, was in the 70's with a big Headline in the Echo "Italian striker on trial with City " . He was a waiter ( eventually restaurant owner) who was playing Sunday league for Cardiff Italians , and once or twice City supporters club .

We would have, they beat Hamburg (your favourite club in the whole wide world:hehe:) 2-0. Strange how we never played an Italian side though.
