Re: Dmitri Payet - Big baby.
Come on Neil - loan move?
Re: Dmitri Payet - Big baby.
All about player power I'm afraid. He knows that as his stock is high, if he plays up they will have to sell him now before his value drops. As fans we'd all love to see players like him rot, but millions of pounds are at stake.
Re: Dmitri Payet - Big baby.
I'd stick him in stocks at half-time and let the West Ham fans throw fruit and veg at him.

Hasn't his value dropped already? He's done nothing all season.
Re: Dmitri Payet - Big baby.
He's obviously been tapped up. And whichever club it is, the same thing will end up happening again. Like if you shag a married woman, and she leaves him for you. You just know she'll end up shagging some other mug behind your back.

Comparing Payet to a woman is denigrating to women...

I would guess at his age and with him being such a late bloomer so to speak, he'll be off to China to get paid.

Re: Dmitri Payet - Big baby.
I don't understand any contract longer than 3 years in football now.
Again, one of the most interesting (somewhat related) things I've heard on the radio was the employment specialist on 5live talking after Uber employees had won their case and how this relates to football where players' employment rights are frequently not kept. The issue being that the result that an employment tribunal can award being minuscule compared to most players wages and far easier to sacrifice your employment rights in order to receive a bumper contract without too much time out of work.

^^^This^^^ I'm afraid the high profile players some lower ones too with the right agents, hold all the aces!
Weat Ham's top player and this will more than likely directly impact on the team and possibly cost the manager his job.
The old saying of never look ahead more than a fortnight in politics is about the likely time span of a football manager.
Gotta feel for Bilic, just when he seemed to have ridden out the storm, he finds his first mate is a mutineer.
Yet another sign that romance is dead in football.
Re: Dmitri Payet - Big baby.
West Ham turned down another offer -

Disagree with Shearer (no surprise there). They'd be doing football a favour if they stick to their guns. It'd be just like giving in to a ransom demand.
