Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Match thread
Just checking our internationals.
Bacuna played in Costa Rica Monday so I assume he is either back today or tomorrow so I assume he will play.
Hoilett was Stateside playing today, although he played off the bench in Canada's 2-0 win. Earliest he will be back is tomorrow. Friday night may be too soon for him.
Etheridge still in Phillipines after playing China, but he is unlikely to start.
Paterson wasn't in Scotland's matchday squad so not sure if he travelled. Whyte played for NI.
I think the team now picks itself if Ralls is fit.
Smithies
Pelts
Flint
Morrie
Bennett
Ralls (Tomlin)
Bacuna
Pack
Murphy
Whyte
Gazel
Cant see Ward starting but Gazel will have to pull his finger out pretty sharpish.

I can definitely see Ward starting and I think he deserves it.
Not saying it would be the right call as I think he is better from the bench but Warnock likes him.

Of course the alternative is to play 2 up top, but that would be breaking the habit of a lifetime!

He really is my least favourite referee and has had some shockers in the past, usually at our expense.
I wonder if any other teams' fans feel the same way about him.
I mean to say is it just us he seems to dislike or is he just incompetent.

I think he’s just shit for everyone.
Watched a game a few weeks ago, think it was Brentford v Weeds, absolutely abysmal refereeing by him, towards Weeds, which I didn’t mind at the time :hehe:

If he's so crap, which he is, how the hell is he keeping his job?

Jeremy corbyn is still in a "job", maybe they know something about being crap and retaining employment.

If he’s as bad as you say he wouldn’t be referring at Championship level, take up the whistle if you think you can do better! the most difficult job on the pitch and together with his assistants the only unbiased people at every match!
I know I’ve done the job!

There are some dreadful refs in the South Wales amateur leagues.
Job may be hard but some of the decisions leave you scratching your head.
Might be hard but they could at least attempt to look like they’re trying to give the correct decision..

Probably worse again in the lower local leagues.
Some of it must be bias though, they surely can’t be that shit.

A good win today will set us up nicely for Millwall.
Bluebirds!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Match thread
Prutton is backing a Wednesday win. We're doomed!

Weds haven't won at CCS for yonks and Warnock has never been beaten by Monk. A draw beckons imo.

Stroud, Salisbury (pease) Pottage, as long as we`re not all over the place like the officials, we should be ok (fingers crossed)

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Match thread
6 minutes in and Etheridge puts us under pressure with a bad clearance.
