Re: Flaming Grill pubs are the latest company to boycott
I've never been to a flaming Grill establishment and don't intend to so I'm calling it a boycott (just as I boycott the trip to Elland Rd each season)
Re: Flaming Grill pubs are the latest company to boycott
Had to look this up, they've got two in Cardiff? One down the bay and the Heronmarsh in St.Mellons.
I'll be boycotting them, but because they're shit. Does that count?

If you have any doubt at all I recommend a visit and a taste of the delicacies on offer.
You will 100% boycott from there on in.

The one in the bay is possibly the worst pub I've ever been to, and I used to live in Splott.

It must've been ten years since I last set foot in there, it was terrible then, and looking at some of the reviews on tripadvisor, things don't seem to have improved.

Oh, and the "big games" on Father's Day are France v Switzerland and Romania v Albania.
Re: Flaming Grill pubs are the latest company to boycott
At this rate, I'll have to boycott something I actually use soon.

In fairness it's gone through about 4 different guises since then.
Flaming Grill do 24oz of beef burger (I.e. 1.5 pounds of beef) within a bun, with a chicken breast, pulled pork, bacon, plastic cheese slices, onion rings & 3 portions of chips....all for £9.99.
Amazingly, it's one of the best burgers I've had in this country...definitely not one of those microwaved ones like the Hungry Horse places...

There weren't that many pubs in Splott, as I recall! But I suppose it depends on what you consider the boundaries of Splott proper, we've had that discussion before :hehe:
