If time travel was possible
What football or other sporting event would you travel back to?

Re: If time travel was possible
IF time travel was possible and you could alter the past, it would have to be Hillsborough, to try and stop the tragedy, how you would do this being just an ordinary person, would probably be impossible.

Re: If time travel was possible
William Webb Ellis - red card him
-
Re: If time travel was possible
I'd go back to last Saturday and chuck a fiver on us to win 3-0 against Villa.

Re: If time travel was possible
2003 play off final, only 6 at the time so my memories of the day are limited. Bet it was madness.

A week before the 2010 playoff final to tell Dave Jones that Bothroyd is crocked and to work on a different formation that didn't involve Kelvin Etuhu as a target man.

Re: If time travel was possible
1966- I'd shoot Geoff Hurst just before the World Cup Final!

Re: If time travel was possible
Football - Bordeaux, June 2016 Wales v Slovakia. I was there but would like to re-live it a little bit more sober this time.
Non football - Hagler V Hearns 1985

Bonkers mate.
What about putting on a tenner?
-
Re: If time travel was possible
I'd travel back to 17th October 1970 and I'd go and watch the City draw 2-2 with Leicester instead of getting married :hehe:

Knowing my luck it probably wouldn't come in.
Worth a fiver though just in case.

Use Croesy's bookie, you could've retired to Monte Carlo

That was my first ever City game. If my memory's correct at least you had nice weather for the photos.
Attendance 25,968.
Those were the days

The game was a bit too cagey, until the last few minutes of extra time, anyway.

Re: If time travel was possible
Jesse Owens in the 1936 Olympics would probably have been something to watch.
Probably wouldn't watch the 1927 fa cup final, as the standard was probably awful, and it would be poignant seeing the city fans pouring out of Wembley after the match thinking that the club had hit the big time, when deep down you know that we are going to be shit for the rest of their lives.

Re: If time travel was possible
It would be interesting to go back and watch a game of Pok-A-Tok, apparently you could only pass and shoot the ball using your thighs and hips, the losing side’s leader (and perhaps the whole team) was sometimes killed and sacrificed to the gods so all to play for..

Re: If time travel was possible
I was there but Wales 3-0 Russia. The whole day was absolutely perfect. Weather was great, few beers with my mates and after 10 seconds, I just knew we'd win.
For Cardiff, beating Leeds 2-1 in the cup. Again, I was there but I was only 11 so I think I'd appreciate it even more. Having said that, I was young enough to be naive and see football innocently!

Except they'd probably sacrifice you as well if they found you there, either that or you'd sneeze and wipe out their entire civilization. :hehe:

Re: If time travel was possible
Forget Sporting events
I would travel back and become Wales-Bales best mate
He might share the 200 top end models :hehe:
