Would you have taken 17 points from 8 games starts at start of season?

Of course. I'll take it from the next 8 games too. And the next.

2 pts a game average is promotion form.
4 pts from next two games will be good as well.

Good start to the season just think it could have been better if NW had used the squad he has assembled instead of flogging the same starting eleven.

So after 5 wins and a draw, who would you have dropped?

Peltier gas been targetted last couple of games and is seen as the weak link in the defence. I think he is lucky to stay in the starting 11.

It's not a question of "dropping" players. It's about squad management. 3 games in 7 days and he uses the same starting eleven apart from Bryson today. NW said some players were knackered but he still picked them.

The opposite side of the coin is that, had he made a number of changes against Preston and we'd lost, he'd have been blamed for changing a winning team. No win situation. The way Preston played last Tuesday I'd be surprised if a number of changes would have made any difference in truth.
Btw, I'm not sure I swallow Warnock's comments about them being knackered, either.

So your thinking is we should keep the same starting eleven week in week out. Can't see that being fruitful.

That's not my thinking whatsoever. Just I know for a cert had Warnock made changes against Preston and we'd lost (as we did), you'd have been moaning on here.

So what is your thinking on squad rotation?
Re: Would you have taken 17 points from 8 games starts at start of season?
Generally, it needs to be done, of course. I think we needed to have made changes at Preston, same as most, but at the time, how do you rest players who have got you through 6 games unbeaten? Make changes and we lose, bad decision. Keep the same team and we lose, bad decision. I think he could have made more changes today, though. If Warnock isn't careful, he'll make his fringe players think they've got no chance of getting a starting place.
