Ah I see. Both parents and me were born in Wales but my wife is English which makes my son less Welsh. I never sing anti English songs - just find them odd as it does nothing to support the team we are there to support.

Re: Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
I'm a "1", but my two sons are "4", though they lived here for 30 years and regard themselves as Welsh.

Re: Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
Option 1
Your definition of Welsh being born in Wales is wrong.
I have lived outside of Wales for 37 years. My two sons were born as I and their Mum at St. Davids Hospital.
But have spent nearly all of their life in England.
Had they been born after we left Wales they would be no less 'Welsh'.
My grandsons who were born in England also know themselves to be Welsh and support CCFC, Wales AFC, WRU etc. they wear the shirt as did their dad.
So Welsh but born elsewhere.
If as a result of that they have a dual opportunity to play for two teams then I would love it to be Wales and I feel sure they would too.

I can't agree with that 'identify' stuff I'm afraid, as much as I love Wales and have 2 Welsh children myself I still wouldn't call myself Welsh because it's simply not true. :-)
That's me .other than born in Scotland

Re: Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
3,Born in Wales to a Welsh mother and a Yorkshire father, Welsh speaking wife and two Welsh speaking children and three Welsh speaking grandchildren. My father always considered himself a Yorkshireman rather than an Englishman.

Just out of interest, how does your dad feel about this?

I'm in a similar boat. Dad sometimes can't understand my dislike for the England football and rugby teams but he's always behind Wales.

#5. My father was Iranian and my mother is Irish, so I never worry about the destination when I'm going on holiday because I spend most of the time in customs.
