I read with dismay that the BBC is intending to re-make the classic children's TV series Bagpuss. Presumably, they'll spoil it by using fancy computer graphics, and completely destroy the appeal of the simple, charming original series with their trendy use of bad language, Grand Theft auto-style extreme violence and explicit sex. Well, I for one have no desire to see a 3-D professor Yaffle and Gabriel the toad spit-roasting Madeline the ragdoll whilst Bagpuss masturbates, culminating in a mass bukkake cum-bath featuring the mice off the mouse organ. Why can't these people simply keep their filthy ideas to themselves and leave this innocent programme alone?
