Six decades of Cardiff City v Queens Park Rangers matches.

I'm guessing 10s is the player Jimmy Floyd signed from Burton. El Khoyati is it?
00s Stephen Kelly

70s: Leighton phillips and Toshack were scorers. conceded - a guess 10 goals

80s is Simon Stainrod, ex QPR. Thanks for leaving out his more well know clubs!
I remember a John Wile, he was a promising youngster, like a lot of the ones City had at the time. i reckon they coach the good stuff out of him and he disappeared. i thought he played in a Sherpa Vat Trophy/Leyland Daf Cup game, but he didn't't.
I remember that QPR game, we lost 1-4 and we rested a few of our 'start' players (don't laugh), and people like Allan Lewis, Jason perry, Chris Fry were given a game. A bit like Burton last Tuesday.

You've got the two scorers Spedger, but we let in a few more than yet.

Stainrod is right, the name John Wile means nothing to me though unless you're talking West Brom centrehalves.

In the 88/9 programme team pages, he is listed as John Wile, showing that indeed he was an usused sub against QPR.

There was a John Wile playing for Inter Cable-Tel in the 1998-99 FAW Premier Cup and an 'experienced' Jon Wile getting sent off for Bettws in 2005
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/o...et-ton-2373647
but whether they are one and the same I've no idea.
Juergen Sommer for the 90s, 15 for the 70s.

Thanks to you and cardiff55 for your Jo(h)n Wile info.
Both of your answers to the other questions are correct.

I believe that Toshack's strike at Loftus Road in 1970 remains the longest distance goal ever scored by a Cardiff City player as, according to the Football Echo, he headed in from King's cross (which is six miles away).
