If I was seeking an independent view on the independence of the body set up to oversee our elections then the last place I would start is with a graphic that appears on the twitter feed of Leave.eu, key representatives of which have just been referred to the National Crime Agency for criminal investigation. Banks going on Andrew Marr this Sunday?
Some people on the left have political heroes like Nye Bevan for what he did to found the NHS. Others on the right favour Margaret Thatcher for what they see as her achievements in the 80s. It would appear though that self-proclaimed fence sitters are more drawn towards the likes of Donald Trump and Aaron Banks because of their ability to take the piss out of everybody on twitter.
