Was rooting for Croatia and they were on the wrong end of a couple of poor decisions, the Griesman dive and pelanty hand ball, which were decisive but to say France were anti-football is just plain daft.
Now Argentina 1990 were anti-football as they kicked and bullied their way to the final but this French side has quality all over the pitch and this showed in the whole tournament. They played each game to win a football match and if that meant being more cagey in the final against a dangerous Croation outfit then hats off to them.

Were the Dutch team of 2010 that good? They chose to play the final in a way they felt gave them the best chance of success, as did France. What I'd say is that I don't think that Dutch side could have won if playing more attacking football whereas the French side could have and chose to play pragmatically despite this.Quote:
