I thought I was hearing things. Ridiculous really and you'd have thought somebody on the team would have enlightened him.
I remember Ally McLeod always saying 'Argentine' and not 'The Argentine'.
Another awful game desperate for a goal.

What a take down and finish. Nigeria score from an Icelandic long throw.

Who was it on here who said that Gunnar's long throws never produce goals?

I must be minutes behind as I'm still watching Nigeria take a corner at 2-0 :hehe:

MK: "Can they beat Argentinia?"
GM: "They can beat Argentina yes"

How long is the lag over here with the broadcast. I have an app on my phone and it pops up with a score and then "live" tv catches up about 2 mins later. I was in Berlin the week just gone and the scores on the app came through a few seconds after they were on the tv.

Prolongs Argentina's misery

Re: FT: ICELAND 0 - 2 NIGERIA. Match thread
Gunnarsson was pretty anonymous imo.
If we did want to keep him, we've more leverage in the negotiations because I can't see him getting big money.

Bit unfair, thought he played really well first half when Iceland looked the better side.
All the Iceland players lost their legs and Gunnars has just come back from an injury.

I've always believed that it's a one dimenisonal tactic ,id rather quick short throw in's with no delay and loads of movement.

Re: FT: ICELAND 0 - 2 NIGERIA. Match thread
A good result for the pathtic exususe of a football team from South America, who get one more chance to show the world that they are not totally shit beyond belief. So just a win required against Nigeria if they are to redeem themselves. If they can't manage that, they will go down in history as being the worst World Cup team ever.
