Far better than the 17th.

As part of ongoing discussions with the EFL regarding the postponement of Sunday’s fixture at Derby County FC, we can confirm that a rearranged date for the game has been agreed to our satisfaction.
The Bluebirds will travel to Pride Park on Tuesday, 24th April for a 7.45pm kick-off.
Further information regarding ticketing will follow in due course.

This is good news, well done Neil.
Anything else is a bonus.

EFL rules state the earliest available date. The fact that this isn't is probably a gesture by the EFL to placate us after the decission to postpone our game in questionable circumstances,

Agreed, I also think they accept the fact it would be extremely unfair on both the players, and fans, to travel away 3 times within 8 days (I am relieved to not have to do this), especially after being messed around on the original fixture it would have been a serious middle finger to the fans especially.

Agreed. Our April Away fixtures look quite a challenge now to say the least!

Imagine securing promotion at this game and rubbing the Derby fans' noses in it.

Alternatively, imagine they beat us which stops us getting the points needed for promotion and prevents another club getting a play off place. Either outcome could happen.

It's a possibility. Not Derby fans fault the match was postponed though. Rubbing the Directors' noses in it...thats another matter.

Their fans have been rather gleeful and plenty have seen it as victory of sorts.

What an incredible perspective, I hadn't thought of it like that.
So you're saying there is more than one outcome for each football match? This really changes how I'll bet on matches now.

Still gotta pay for the coach and driver, that's why we made a day out of it and went to the pub. :hehe:

Na, only wanted to bid £5K, with fees and maybe VAT would have been about £6K.
Should have though, as looking at them, they hold their money.

I told you it was value. Why dont you listen ?
Re: Derby v Cardiff - Tuesday 24th April
Excellent news.
Derby on the defensive and the EFL trying to calm things down by conceding to Cardiff's preferred date.
Re: Derby v Cardiff - Tuesday 24th April
Excellent news playing our game in hand with only another two games left to play after it. We will know exactly what we have to do to get promoted. In the meantime, Fulham and Villa will be in perpetual panic assuming they have to make up 10 points, which means they will have to attack in every game, and it will leave them exposed at the back. Our lot will have to play harder too, cos they can't bank on the 3 points from a Derby win.

Me neither, but I made the rearranged Brentford after being unable to make the original. Oh well.
