Ken Bruce played the full Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight medley this morning, loved it, then he threw in Alone Again Or by Love for good measure👍👍👍

One song that always resonates whenever I hear it is Every Body Wants To Rule The World by Tears for Fears.
Even though I could probably only name one more song by them (Shout!) and they are not a favourite band of mine I do think that song is superb.
Best song of the 80s imo, and there's a lot of competition.

Really hard but if I was pushed to pick one I’d say “this night has opened my eyes” as the lyrics are genius.

Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd is the one though.
Ceremony was actually a Joy Division song, but it never got recorded. I believe there are a few flakey live/rehearsal versions floating about with Ian Curtis on vocals, who was also the lyric writer.

Mine is the magnificent Echo Beach- Martha and The Muffins. I loved it when it was first released at the start of the 80’s and still love it now.
Great song.
For me though - a choice of
Good Vibrations
Alone Again Or
In my Life

Yes I heard that. He always lets the record play to the end without talking over it as well. Love were a great band.

As gritty a protest song as you get. Brilliant.

The Clash - White Man In Hammersmith Palais is most consistently there for me...... Jungleland by Springsteen presents an occasional threat
