Most people tell lies. A lot of the people who claim to have been in Cable Street that day were probably not even born then. I can remember Vidal Sassoon saying on TV that he was in the thick of the battle. He was only 8 in 1936 so that is another lie. Nearly every Scot I've met of a certain age was at Hampton Park in 1960 watching the famous 7-3 Real Madrid European Cup Final.
