Some good fortune for Wales
I was away, and missed the Mexico game on TV, but I see Wales had a bit of good fortune.
Williams going off after 20 mins no doubt contributed in no small way to Wales getting a clean sheet.
What happened to him? Did his hair extensions start to unravel in the heat?
Hopefully a real Welshman took over the armband.
Cymru am Byth.
Re: Some good fortune for Wales
He broke a rib. Tom Lockyer came in for him and did a great job alongside Chris Mepham. That young centre half pairing had just four caps between them and kept a clean sheet against a team that hasn’t lost for something like 22 games.
Very encouraging.

Yep Chris Mepham did really well. He’s a Londoner so all good.
Re: Some good fortune for Wales
Yes Wales wouldn’t have a team without our Anglos, our top clubs Cardiff and Swansea not producing quality players these days?

Yeah, no good Welsh players, so we can just get some English cast offs in. Happy days.

I thought his Dad was Welsh?
Ah well, bad new for the young Welsh players missing out on caps for their country again. Shame.

That's good news, and a clean sheet as well.

How can anyone take a positive from a friendly? Its a money making racket.
Why any fan would be interested is beyond me.

I think it was a good run out for Wales' new back pairing after Ashley's departure and a few fringe young 'uns coming on. Wales are shaping up well in preparation for when they batter RoI in the autumn.:-)

I can see why you might think like that if you had to watch the current Ireland side.

+1. Thank God their prehistoric football didn’t make it to the World Cup. The Mexico game was invaluable for our youngsters playing in front of over 82,000 most of whom were Mexico supporters.
