Bit of an old racist by all accounts.
RIP good old fashioned footballer
My two main memories of Tommy Smith were of him scoring an unlikely goal in a European Cup Final and then, about a year later, "welcoming" Ossie Ardilles and Ricardo Villa to Britain by kicking them both up in the air in a League Cup tie between John Toshack's jacks and Spurs - I went to that game and watched from a packed North Bank.
RIP.
Think the pretty Tommy Smith, is still in good health .
I’ve seen no evidence that Ken Smith is a racist.
RIP Tommy. Part of the first football dynasty that I remember
His headed goal in the European Cup Final is an abiding image. Shame that it’s likely that heading a ball for all those years contributed to his Alzheimer’s
Great footballer, pretty despicable views on race.
I suppose people's views will depend on whether you feel you can separate the artist from the art
