Since i've been watching -1982-the best i've seen is David Marshall followed by Alexander. Tom Heaton didn't seem to do much wrong when he played. We've had some crap though, probably a reflection on how the team was performing and the outfield players. Tony Elliott, Steve and David Williams? That Finnish bloke.. Didn't Dave jones use a load of keepers one season and every one of them were a bit shit? Special Mention for Ross Turnbull, absolutely awful.

Do you mean Champions League winner Ross Turnbull ?
Schmeichel wasn't much cop for us either when he was with us and hes done alright since.

Ross Turnbull and Enkleman were worse

Re: City keepers over the years
Don't forget Bill Irwin. David Marshall has the second highest number of League appearences as a goalkeeper for us, with Ron Healey, Neil Alexander and Graham Vearncombe all over 200 games too.

And that keeper from Bolton on loan when Warnock first arrived? Awful.
-
Re: City keepers over the years
Yep Bill Irwin was a very good keeper but we had quite a few at that time, including Jim Eadie and my personal favourite Fred Davies.

How about Lee Smelt?

Re: City keepers over the years
thought kasper held his own and got a load of trust from our defence when he was here
-
Re: City keepers over the years
Kasper did very well here, was disappointed we couldn't make his move permanent. although think how different his career would have turned out if he did!

Best keeper from our "really crap" days has to be Jon Hallworth?

I was just about to post the exact same thing.

Re: City keepers over the years
We’ve had class goalkeepers over the last decade, but the worse surely has to be Peter Zois
