Unless leaks emanate from elsewhere, the club's propensity to alert the world at large that they are interested in a player seems a daft tactic and merely alerts others to a player's availability. If the leak hasn't come from the club all Warnock has to do is to deny any interest. What is abundantly clear is that the Sala deal (if it was ever on) is dead.

He played last night, and was subbed off. That's 4 games without scoring, and 1 in 7 since his hot streak ended.
