I've only gone and bloody done it! My energy supply is now completely renewable.
They were good as gold on the phone too in all fairness to them. Probably looking forward to their organic ciders later.
Four months left on my car loan (Diesel) and I'll be seriously looking to go electric or at least Hybrid. The charging points are more common these days and the Tesco down the the road has two points. :thumbup:
How would that work?
Surely you get the same electricity as everyone else unless you have solar panels or a direct cable from the windfarm?

How it works: All energy suppliers source their energy from whatever means. E.g coal, nuclear, wind etc. It goes into the National Grid, which is like a communal pot, as well all rely on it for energy.
Ecotricity only put 100% renewable energy into the pot. Also, part of my bill goes back into funding research into green energy and building new generators etc.
It's the way forward IMO.
I've just signed up with Bulb who are also renewable energy and cheaper than the established 'big' companies.

Ps in fact I'm with Green Energy Network. Hopefully 100% renewable. Def the way forward, if you're prepared to have dozens of wind turbines spoiling the environment in places like Brechfa and Llandudno.
We could flood the low lying plain of Newport and create a tidal dam for the rest of Wales . With the higher ranges of the valleys we could build thousands of wind turbines to provide the fair City of Cardiff with cheaper renewable fuel .Quote:

Many suppliers now call their products "renewable". My last supplier was Bristol Energy who claimed all their electricity was from renewable sources and the same goes for my current supplier "Peoples Energy" where 75% of the profits are rebated back to the customer.
