I followed this trial very closely, mainly because I know the girl's brother.
For me it was always going to be a murder verdict because that is what he done.
But I think a minimum of 25 years is a little over the top considering he was being blackmailed and the girl as got history for it.
I honestly thought he would get between 10 and 15 years.
Anyone else agree, disagree?

I am surprised our liberal justice system didn't fall for his "I am autistic, poor me, poor me" speech.
Shocking story, first time I have been aware of it today.
I don't think there can be any doubt it was premeditated based on what has been presented in the press about the trial. Even if he is mentally ill I'm not sure how you can introduce that as a defence that should reduce the prison sentence without essentially trivialising murder by autistic people.Quote:

He must have had the charisma of a brick to be a multimillionaire and have to resort to paying for it, He was a complete control freak by the sound of it.
