Swansea have a new keeper
Benda was terrible probably worse than ours!
Margetson instrumental in Rushworth move
New signing Carl Rushworth says the chance to work with Martyn Margetson was instrumental in his move to south Wales.
The keeper put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal on Monday evening and will go straight into Michael Duff's squad for the match against Birmingham.
“I’m buzzing for the start of the season," he said. "I’ve been waiting for it to come around ever since I heard Swansea were interested. I can’t wait to get started.”
Margetson also works within the England international set-up and Rushworth, who has been selected at under-21 level, can't wait to work with the coach again.
“I’m buzzing to get it done. After speaking with Marge I just wanted to be here and get in the building,” he added. “I think it’s the perfect club for my progression. I think taking the next step up into the Championship is what I needed.
“After speaking with Marge from the start, with the experience he’s got and the amount of games I hope to play this season, it’s a no-brainer really.
“There’re so many positives it would be foolish of me to turn it down.
“For me to be in Marge’s eyeline every single day, he’ll be giving me all the advice he can give me.
“I think it’s going to be very beneficial for my career as well to have the England senior goalkeeping coach working with me.”

I think you mean Andy Fisher.
Re: Swansea have a new keeper
"Marge"?
Is his name pronounced Marge-et-son?
Re: Swansea have a new keeper
Marge has had quiet a career, was with us, played and became GK coach, left us to take up a Wales GK coach job with Speedo, left for West Ham, then rejoined us, left us again and the Wales setup to team up with England, joined the Jacks and left them again, now he is back with them
