Interesting UK centred the worlds media and politics are.
President Trump has been briefed on the attack.
A coalition airstrike yesterday killed 33 civilians, to barely any coverage.

Sorry. I thought twitter would do that as I got warned it was graphic using a mobile.
They really do look quite bad, hopefully they pull through.
Re: Gunfire outside parliament
Twitter seems Full of Americans who REALLY want to know the race of the attackers.
Re: Gunfire outside parliament
Oh dear , hope people are safe , bet this one won't rembered on Nov 5th
Re: Gunfire outside parliament
I'll guess that today's incidents will be the lead item on UK national news broadcasts for between 4-7 days. It'll provide politicians and a compliant corporate media with numerous opportunities to use their favourite words to instil fear, so be prepared to hear or read terror, terrorists and threat an awful lot. Maximum publicity is what the headers who commit such acts want more than anything, and the same talking heads always eagerly oblige instead of doing the opposite.
They wittingly do so because they know the citizenry will timidly accept fewer freedoms and personal privacy for they mistakenly believe they will be safer by the state recording their internet browsing history, etc.

Thank you for that Yoda.
Re: Gunfire outside parliament
I can't understand why the London Eye has stopped.
If it is a terrorist attack and there's still terrorist in the area then surely the people on there would be sitting ducks.
Get the poor buggers down.
Re: Gunfire outside parliament
Earlier today "Erdogan warns Europeans 'will not walk safely on the streets'."

"Remember, remember, the 22nd of March" doesn't have quite the same ring to it...

What an extremely strange way of looking at a tragedy. As if the security services are glad it occurred to serve some grander purpose.
More likely, they will say major cities will see an increase in security.
Something which I doubt you care about sitting in rural wales where your biggest danger is a cow walking on a duel carriage way. I can't remember the last time I saw a policeman walking the streets.
Anyone who wouldn't want in an increase in security in Manchester, London etc is extremely dumb as given the chance there would be a bloodbath.
I think you'll find most people at major cities would welcome increases in security regardless of the threat level.
And yes I think your prediction on an increase of the word terrorist and threat level discussion may be accurate....
