Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Leyton Maxwell in regard to coming from Liverpool with high hopes.
Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Remember being really excited when ex QPR and England international Gerry Francis signed for us on loan in the mid 80's. Much like Robbie Fowler he was way past his best and soon left us.

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Andreas Cornelius
The size of the fee and the wages are not an irrelevance. They are what turned him into the biggest flop ever.

I'm pretty sympathetic towards him. I never thought he was as useless as is sometimes made out.
But he absolutely ticks every box, he has to be our biggest flop.

A lot of these players came with no expectations. As crap as they all were, only Zaha comes in the "flop" category, and my understanding is that Cardiff fans were on his back early on.
Chandler had a decent record at Bolton, as did Philliskirk - and both were disappointing overall.
Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Wilfred Zaha.
Andy Campbell. After we signed him
Kurt Nogan. I still want my money back !!

The mega bucks Dane was also a disappointment but only because of the price that was attached to him, clubs like Cardiff don't spend that sort of money on 'one for the future' and we expected SOME instant talent, sadly it took his leaving the club for that to be achieved and recognised.
Remind me of others...........................
Ronnie Moore
Ravel Morrison
Jason Koumas (second time around)
Godfrey Ingram
Alan Lee

Re: Biggest 'Flop' In a City Shirt
Cornelius - got injured pre-season and never fully recovered to have a decent fully fit run in the team
J Lloyd Samuel - did he play with a stinking hangover?
Ingram - one of the weirdest transfers ever
Bywater- must have been an imposter

That big lanky German fella Swinkendorph (sp)
