Re: Snodgrass a done deal?
I can only think of one occasion back in my Warnock hating days when I felt anything remotely sympathetic for the man and that was when West Ham stayed up at Sheffield United's expense after their very, very dodgy signing of Tevez and Mascherano - I struggle to see how Hammers fans can find a way to cast our manager as the villain in that particular piece.
Also, the headline seems at odds with what follows.

That's the eternal downside of large swathes of football fans from any club. Football gives them an excuse to take their tribal side past the point where they can be rational. Case in point, the way Derby fans turned on us after snowgate. Not because they had an argument, but because they wanted the argument to work in favour of their tribe.
On Snodgrass. I'm kind of going off the idea of the transfer. I wouldn't want a permanent transfer for a 31 year old winger who would no doubt be our highest earner. A one year loan could be a successful move, but I'd rather us bring in players under 29 at least.

I'd be very surprised if any deal we did with West Ham involved a permanent signing.
