Lewis Holtby signs for Blackburn

We were linked to him all through the summer and after the window closed too - but I'm not that disappointed he's gone elsewhere. He's got a 2 year deal with Blackburn, and as a free agent who had offers from Turkey and China, I assume he is on a big wage. We'll find out soon enough if he is still the player most of us remember from 5-6 years ago, or if he has faded to the point where he wasn't wanted much in Germany and is in the process of a phased retirement.

This is an odd signing but it could be a very good one for Blackburn. I am interested to see how it works out! I suppose he was waiting on better offers and nothing materialised!
