Research straight out of a Ricky Gervais sitcom. Either that or the journo has conveniently left the two best teams in the land out on purpose.

Diddums.
Stupid ****er overtakes a police car whilst under the influence. It could have been a lot worse for him, and the innocent road users going about their business.

Re: Bellamy convicted of drink driving
I wouldn't be surprised if the police veh was unmarked. I saw a guy on that road about 5.30 AM one morning. I was going towards Newport and he was coming the other way. He had just overtaken a grey panel van, something like a sprinter but not quite as big. Blue lights suddenly erupted all over it. The guy had no chance.
Not suggesting he shouldn't have been caught but it's easy not to spot these unmarked vehicles.
I'm sure most most us have been there at some time.

If you read the report, it was a “marked” police car, which makes it all the more stupid of him.

The whole point of an unmarked police car is that they are not easy to spot. Irrespective of whether it was a police car, f1 car, or milk float, he shouldn’t have been on the road.
I can confirm that I have never been in a similar position.

You're sure most of us have broken the speed limit whilst under the influence?

I don't think anyone is suggesting it was OK for him to be on the road.
