Trump silences his critics that say he's in Putin's pocket
Today he's said that NATO is obsolete, talked down the EU and gone out of his way to criticize Angela Merkel.
I bet that's gone down like a sack of shit in the Baltic states.

And all in a cuddly, sycophantic interview with Michael Gove (and someone from Bild).

1. NATO doesn't deal with terrorism.
2. The EU won't last without Britain and US support.
3. Merkel let in millions of people and we have no idea who they are.
Which parts don't you agree with?

It relies on expansion to enable cheap labour - eventually it will fail - unfortunately.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the EU army "that will never happen".

I am all for an EU army, but unlike the scaremongering that was going on before the referendum Britain wasn't imminently going to be forced to join it
Re: Trump silences his critics that say he's in Putin's pocket
Lets be fair the issues he raises with
1. NATO and dealing with terrorism : he is probably right and we all think the same .
2. The EU won't last without Britain and US support. : Not sure but it will be weaker
3. Merkel let in millions of people and we have no idea who they are. : he's got that one right and I bet she would reverse it if she could , she's decent lady ,in a decent country , who will get no thanks from extremist, whatever helping hand is provided .
4. Russia : we cant keep the war of words up , and lets be fair China is hurting the USA financially , not Russia ,hence the cozy up,and the aggressive words to China
5. USA firms : of course you would want them to produce in USA and use American workers ,makes economic sense.
6. Immigration : he is saying what millions think around the globe in western countries , enough is enough , you cant monitor everyone so reduced the flow and stiffen your borders .
7. Fake News : yep thats is about alright ,everywhere , I remember the leave and remain Brexit fake news mantra
He utters things in very basic non statesman way ,which is extremely unappealing, however I do suspect a lot of people think and like what he says , and they are very simple appealing messages for a country whose people are very proud , that have recently fallen behind.
