Our final game at Ninian park v Ipswich.

Who still has one of those plastic footballs?
Wow, 10 years
Strange leaving really because we all thought we would be back for the play off game :yikes::yikes::yikes:
I've got one of the fireworks. I'm still waiting for it to go off.
Ipswich Town eh! Wonder what ever happened to them?
I left right on the final whistle. Paul Parry had drove the devil into me with one of the worst displays I'd ever seen, and I couldn't wait to get home. Didn't say goodbye or have a last look around Ninian Park. I also thought I'd be back to do both those things
I still have the bins in my garden
The bottlejob to end all bottlejobs
Conceded 12 goals in 4 games to miss out on the playoffs on goals scored
Makes me sick even thinking about it
Did this event instigate the earliest known use of the phrase 'damp squid'?
I left at the final whistle too, thinking we'd be back for one more game. In a strange way I quite like that now, seems quintessentially city somehow.
A proper football ground with some atmosphere - RIP
Great shot.
Reminded me of this goal just weeks before

Thank God we moved, our stadium, especially the concourses, are superb compared to some of the old re-designed for seating stadiums we go to in the Premier League, Man Utd, Liverpool, Palace, Everton, Watford, Burnley, Wolves etc all bordering on dangerous through overcrowding. Wasn’t sorry one bit to leave Ninian Park, I’ve got my 60s and early 70s memories granted but it was mostly a dead hole in 3000+ crowds against the likes of Rochdale & Darlington. The nostalgia is through rose tinted glasses mainly due to the odd good atmosphere.
No that was Watford home and a last minute penalty.

You might want to turn the volume down a bit though, it’s pretty fecking loud.
Fab photos I love seeing photos like that and the fact that the fashions have not changed in a ten year period compared to say 1979 and 1989.
