Drying out a mobile phone
Had my phone in my pocket and got in my pool earlier. Didn't realise til I got out 30 mins later.
I currently have it in a bag of rice as that helps dry it out apparently?
Anyone have any other tips?

airing cupboard if you do not have a " hot water on demand system "
though stick it on a window cill in this heat, will do the same
just DO NOT turn it on till you are 100% sure its dry, i have left phones 1 week before trying them, had about a 50% success rate though

If you can open the covers on the phone spray with electrical cleaner.

Pissed up one night, dropped mine down the toilet, tried to dry it in the micro wave, DO NOT attempt this method!!!!!!!

Everybody knows you should never masturbate with your mobile phone resting on your stomach.

I must say that I admire you. You weigh in with sage advice on a range of diverse topics. From carpet slippers, hair curlers, vacuum cleaner hoses, extendable feather dusters and eliminating sweaty sock problems to masking armpit odour, replacing an alternator on a Mk11 Jag and detailing the necessary kit for those about to embark on a potholing holiday in the Brecon Beacons.
But even I marvelled when I read your recent foam guide for prospective nob and nuts shavers.

I put mine in a bag of rice and then stuck the bag under an anglepoise light to maintain the heat - and it worked.

'My pool.' :sherlock:
After reading that I don't think I was alone in reaching for the black book. Your moniker now appears on the page which has Possible Tory written at the top.

My grampy's sage advice was to rub it into your scalp to prevent baldness. Never worked for him, although that may be because he used to pick it out of a Paxo stuffing mix!

Actually your grampy could have been way ahead of his time, a box of Paxo is perfect size to put a mobile in and very absorbent. :hehe:

No Morgan it's not a swimming pool it's a Lazy Spa hot tub with the heating turned off so its doubling up as a cooling down pool in this weather.
