Especially those companies that do not show up on price comparison sites.

Man up and hitchhike through Central Asia like any hardcore world traveller would
PS I heard the train from St. Petersburg is quite good.

Due to the buggerance of employment I wouldn't have time to get there and back within two weeks - so I shall limit my hiking to the time I spend there.
By the way, I see that it's now possible to get to Kazakhstan cheaply if you purchase two returns by Wizzair i.e. Luton to Budapest and Budapest to Astana. One to think about next year.

Internal travel costs are quite reasonble once you are in SE Asia, so it's not essential to arrive in your exact destination, but you are time limited and maybe it's not an option to take a detour.

Compare the cost of direct flights to Indochina with those going to KL or Bangkok, and then switching to regional airlines.

Wikipedia: "Indochina, originally Indo-China, is a geographical term originating in the early nineteenth century and referring to the continental portion of the region now known as Southeast Asia. The name refers to the lands historically within the cultural influence of India and China, and physically bound by India in the west and China in the north. It corresponds to the present-day areas of Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and (variably) peninsular Malaysia."

I find flights to Malaysia/KL with the national carrier to usually be around the lowest

Re: Cheapest flights to Indo-China. Any recommendations?
Having lived there people refer to Thailand and Malaysia as being in SE Asia, and French Indochina is known as Indochina.
PS I don't think they care about Wikipedia or cartography TBH

Exactly what I said before TBG digressed
Bangkok/KL/Singapore are the main Europe/SE Asia flight hubs and they are looking to fill up the flights, so there are plenty to choose from.
The main thing is though, do they accept Euros? :sherlock:

Re: Cheapest flights to Indo-China. Any recommendations?
I've seen flights on air asia from KL to london that were dirt cheap, but the other way round was much pricier, not sure if theres a way to beat the system there.
Or indeed if that route even runs still.
