If you look on NewsNow Cardiff City you will see over 20 media stories saying the same thing over the last 24 hours - all from a single source. It comes from someone who doesn't know the details of the Sala transfer. The club have said they have taken detailed legal advice (seemingly about the registration status when the crash happened and the role and possibly liability of agents) and also kept in very close contact with the ELP to ensure they were not going to get into trouble with their stance.
I am confident the story is just sensational clickbait. The club will pay what they are contractually required to pay and they will not risk a points deduction (which in any case would only be a risk at the end of a lengthy legal/arbitration process). What is certain is that there will be a number of lawyers getting richer on the back of this tragedy.

I agree.
It’s amazing that our crap paper thought that nonsense worth printing. Our Local Government is in disarray and they cover almost all that up.
