I know what I would prefer.

My original rhetorical question still stands. I really am not sure why Warnock is prepared to give up a very comfortable, in fact ideallic lifestyle to manage a football club.

There are only 92 positions available in the country

These people are addicted to the adrenaline of the game, "idillic" retirement doesn't match up to the thrill.
Either that or he's deep in debt to his dealer & needs the cash.

Thanks for correcting my spelling error.
Football management must be a hell of a drug.

I've tried but I can't prevent myself from being a grammar Nazi - it's 'idyllic'...

If it's a rhetorical question there's no point anyone answering.

To be fair though, you come from a long line of sons of the soil.

Re: You are pver 60...would you prefer...
I've retired twice and hate it. I'm 66 and I am now working on a construction site in central London and still living in Baku when I can get away for a long weekend.
Every time I feel fed up and want to jack it in I remember what it was like last time I stopped, and I get up and go to work again.
