Is the journey better than the destination?
Its been a fab season, if we were go up, do you think it will be as enjoyable.
0 0 at stoke, losing more than winning.
Yes the dream is the premier league, but will it be as exciting as this season?
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
Probably not, so lets just enjoy the ride
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
No doubt.
Very disappointed last time around. Sterile stadiums, disappointing atmospheres and arrogant fans. The so called top 6 were particularly disappointing. They can go form their own league,
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
Definitely.
I wish we could do this every season. Or every 5 seasons.
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
It's got its highs and its got its lows. I will be gutted if we get we go down.
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
£200,000,000 + and the chance for Tan to sell us on..I think it's worth it.

Even if someone said you would come back up in say 2 or 3 years

Undoubtedly the journey is a good one and one which most fans want to take.
The destination will most likely be disappointing and experience says that it will be much less enjoyable.
The way to cope with that is to be less expectant, more philosophical, more patient and to look at the alternative benefits.
And to hope for, rather than expect, a few pleasant surprises along the way.
Not making the journey would be much much worse.

That doesn't always happen. The likelihood for a club of Swansea's size is further relegation rather than getting back to the big time. We're seeing less and less that teams coming down are going back up.
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
Probably. Journey had a number of successful albums and singles. Destination were a largely unsuccessful disco outfit that failed to score any chart hits.
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
All that matters is those parachute payments and the lure of a new generation of fans coming through

Yeah - like Blackpool, Leeds, Bolton, Sunderland, Wigan, Blackburn, Portsmouth, ...
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
A little bit of appreciation for "chessnut".
Re: Is the journey better than the destination?
The next stage would be to become an established Premiership team like Leicester, remember how we used to always beat them! If we fail we have parachute payments to have another go but have no fear like little Burnley and Bournemouth, the lower teams in the Premiership are no better than the top teams in the Championship?

I think there's a difference. Teams going up need to strengthen. Teams that come down lose some of their best players.
