Builder advice

Can anyone recommend a builder for single story 3.9m x 8m home extension please. Price I've had so far are astronomical, thought £1000 square metre was the standard!

I would recommend someone, but after I subsequently found out he wasn't registered for VAT (even though he charged me vat) I'm not going to mention the thieving *&€£×+*
