RIP to a battling full back
I remember seeing Bobby play left back a couple of times for us. he left to become player manager of Barry Town I think and then went to Newport before going to Ipswich. A good solid defender. RIP Bobby Ferguson.
RIP Bobby, another one from my era gone.
I found myself sitting next to Bobby Ferguson (and George Andrews) in the Radio Ninian pressbox at the corner of the Grange End and the Enclosure for a Wales v Scotland game in 1966. Bobby signed my programme and chatted during the game to me and my dad. He made it a really memorable occasion.

I knew the Fergusons from my youth. Went to school with Bobby's son before they moved to Ipswich. Had a kick about in their garden with Bobby one day when he was still a City player. We went and sat on the bench to watch a match when Bobby was at Somerton Park as player manager..and it really was a bench. Happy memories. Sad to hear of his passing. RIP
