The op is referring to M&G, a billion pound property investment fund which has just suspended withdrawals due to a run on its money. If you invested with them you are buggered for now, anyway.
Well with property funde when there are sales the fund physically has to sell assets, hence the suspending of the fund. It's not liquid like other types of investment. Although with some property funds the investment is just held in property fund shares rather than physical property. And if the headline was that the fund has been suspended, then you can't get you money out.....because the fund has been suspended!
