External Hard Drive - Advice Please

My daughter has just bought a nice little laptop with a 512 SSD. I want to get her an external drive for storage about 1TB.

Any recommendations appreciated.

I look for a reliable external HD (otherwise, what's the point?) and Seagate products have never let me down.

I would go with SSD as backup aswell ( as if just used for backup, they rarely fail )

512 gig SSD in a enclosure from say sandisk about £100

or get something like

WD 3 TB home " cloud " for £90

I’d look at cloud storage if I was you.

I've had a buffalo hard drive in use for years
