Anyone know if these are still worth investing in?
It's extremely volatile. Two years ago it was worth $20,000. One year ago it was worth $3,000. Now it's worth $9,000.
I wouldn't mess with it.
Bitcoin's price ascent was halted and crushed the instant it begun trading futures contracts in Chicago during late December 2017 and has been controlled ever since by identical means, just as every other commodity traded there is manipulated. It isn't a so-called conspiracy theory either as the ex-Chairman of that Exchange regulator's acknowledged the skulduggery last month, albeit not in such bold terms.

I have been following/investing in Bitcoin for 2 years and have made huge returns, IMO it could prove to be the best investment you will ever make in your life, it could turn out to be life changing in terms of positive returns. It is risky and volatile, but that also makes the returns insane. This year alone, it went up 400%. You have to understand the fundamentals of the asset as a digital store of value, like Gold, if you like, in terms of a trade able asset that has no real intrinsic/usage value. I would only ever suggest investing up to 10% of your net worth and only invest what you can afford to lose. Historically Bitcoin goes parabolic, hits new highs, then enters a bear market and loses up to 85% of its value, so it's obviously important that you understand this. If you don't know anything about trading, then DO NOT trade it, just invest what you can afford each month (Dollar Cost Averaging) and hold it for the next 10 years, it will potentially make you a very wealthy man.
